How to disable the NFC tag pop-up in iOS

When using a YubiKey with a mobile device over NFC (tapping the key to the device), you may encounter a website NFC tag pop-up. This behavior is expected and referred to as the NDEF / OTP pop-up.

If Yubico Authenticator is installed on the iPhone, you may receive the following pop-up:

If Yubico Authenticator is not installed on the iPhone, you may receive the following pop-up:

If you'd like to disable this functionality, you can do so by turning off the OTP over NFC functionality using Yubico Authenticator for iOS or Yubico Authenticator for Desktop.
